His Majesty's Fifth Regiment of FootAn 18th Century Historical Reenactment UnitBATTLES OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION 1775While this lists tries to include every action, big or small, of the American Revolution, it is by no means exhaustive. An action is defined here as fighting involving the combatants of the Revolution fought between the beginning of hostilities and the Treaty of Paris. The actions listed are from almost every corner of the world: North America, Europe, Asia, Central America, and the West Indies. Some individual actions are included in larger raids or actions: e.g. The Connecticut Coast Raid, Danbury Raid, Fort Washington could all be broken down further into smaller individual actions. The description of who won the battle can be open to interpretation: e.g. the battles of Oriskany, Hubbardton, and even the Battle of Bunker’s (Breed’s) Hill have been called both British and Patriot victories. Feel free to e-mail any suggestions or comments to us about this list, or anything else. Italics - Battles fought outside the 13 colonies, Ohio, and Illinois Territories.
